Magazine editorial spread designs.

NB

Note: The full sized files of the display templates were too large to be uploaded to my blog so I have had to upload smaller condensed files. I still have the original large template files on disc!

polaroids?

I want to use polaroids to display the photography in my display board. I drew out a template and then added it to my layout:

layout design for display boards...

My interview...

hello my name is catherine. my earliest memory is when i was two years old and my baby sister gina had been brought home from hospital...
i was sitting on the sofa in my living room, facing the window, and she was on my knee... i was afraid i was going to break her. my mum and dad were taking photographs of us. i remember being happy that i had a new sister and i loved her, but i can’t remember what she looked like, it’s all just a blur in my memory. i do remember i was wearing blue dungarees and wee black patent shoes. there are many photographs of this particular memory and sometimes i’m not sure if i can actually remember it or if i have just seen the photos so many times that i imagine i remember it.

researching interesting magazine layout designs

I'm really liking the simple black & white theme, with maybe just one other colour, as I think it is classic and clean and looks professional. I also want to incorporate photography into my editorial design, in both my display board, and my actual magazine spread.

pro: three- A Visual Narrative

Real or fictitious early memory...

Basically this brief involves recording someones early memory and turn this into either a video or an editorial design piece.

My idea:
I wanted to do something different for my interview and had lined up a friend who was fluent in sign language to tell me about her earliest memory. This original plan fell through and so, running with the sign language theme, I have decided to interview myself and record my interview using the sign-language alphabet...
